Station South Presents… JOYLAND.
After the sold out success of the first cinema night at Station South. It's back this month with the JOYLAND. 4 stars out of 5 from the Guardian 'Saim Sadiq’s film explores the unsettled social and sexual identities of a widower and his children with delicacy and tenderness
"The Ranas--a happily patriarchal joint family--yearn for the birth of a baby boy to continue the family line. Their youngest son secretly joins an erotic dance theatre and falls for an ambitious trans starlet. Their impossible love story slowly illuminates the entire Rana family's desire for sexual rebellion."
As with the other film nights I've done, there will be a couple of short films to compliment the feature beforehand.
So come down and support our own community film club. The bar will be open and will be selling hotdogs and popcorn on the night.
